Birthday wish

May,
Hollywood dreams
with half a dozen stars
show up on my doorstep.
May,
glamorous models
queue up ecstatic
on my lane.
May,
greatness valued by objects,
counted by the tallest candles,
and the largest birthday cake
or the grandest party
have a second thought in life
May,
Fire works burst out,
cheery and bubbly
and may,
white house send a 
birthday wish
and a VIP visit to me.
Finally,
may,
all this happen
while I'm fast asleep,
or while I write these useless poems
or while I read a book
or while I'm with my loved
my friends, my family,
heedless to the commotion...
for what's a birthday,
but just another day,
to mark our old age!
and tomorrow,
it will be all forgotten anyway
looking for another birthday...
